About Acupuncture

The practice of acupuncture is based on these tenets:
The life energy called qi - courses through the body in channels
similar to rivers that course through the earth
When qi in the body is full and moving properly, health is
promoted, when qi is moving disharmoniously illness can begin. Even
everyday stresses like deadlines and disappointments can disrupt the
harmonious movement of qi.
What Acupuncture Does
Speaking simply, acupuncture keeps the qi moving. Our intervention
treats the underlying imbalances rather than only the most obvious
symptoms. Even so, acupuncture is often effective with a surprising
range of concerns, such as : headaches, allergies, chronic fatigue,
depression, back pain, digestive disorders, joint pain, menstrual
disorders, infertility, sleeping problems, asthma, addictions and
stress. The National Institutes of Health has declared acupuncture
to be helpful in treating a wide range of health challenges.
Many people report benefits that they observe in relation to
acupuncture treatment that are sometimes surprising and subtle.
They report that health problems other than those for which they
entered treatment have cleared up and that their movement through
all spheres of life has become more harmonious.
